The very first photograph was taken in 1826 or 1827

This picture was taken in the Burgundy region of France from Niepce's estate, Le Gras, in his upstairs window.

Who made it?

Joseph Nicephore Niepce.

Where is it now?

It is currently at the Harry Ransom center at The University of Texas at Austin.

What do you think about it?

I think it is interesting. You definitely can tell that it is from a different time period and it most definitely looks very first photoish. It shows you how far we have come in camera technology and in art forms. It looks like
